Pride and Prejudice is a classic novel about love with underlying issues such as the importance put on social status and gender in the 1800's. It is a novel that not only is a joy to read, but comes alive on film as well. A story that remains relevant after 100 or more years after being published is a rare piece. Pride and Prejudice does just that by reminding women that staying true to oneself is always the right thing to do. It is one of my favorites and a work that I could read over and over.
