The systolic blood pressure is a measure of the pressure exerted on the inside of the blood vessels when your heartmuscle is contracting and pumping blood. This is the maximum pressure in the blood vessels. The diastolic blood pressure is the pressure between heart beats when the heart is resting and filling with blood. This is the minimum pressure in the blood vessels.

Systolic is the number at which your blood stops flowing when they take blood pressure. This will be the top number. Diastolic is when it starts flowing again once they start loosening the cuff. This will be the bottom number.

Systolic pressure is the peak pressure in the arteries, which occurs near the end of the cardiac cycle when the ventricles are contracting.

Diastolic pressure is the minimum pressure in the arteries, which occurs near the beginning of the cardiac cycle when the ventricles are filled with blood.

Blood pressure is the measure of how much pressure the blood puts on the arteries measured in millimeters of Mercury. Like water putting pressure on a hose. It is measured at two different times. First, when the heart beats it puts more pressure on the arteries. This is the "top" number of the blood pressure. The technical name is the systolic pressure. When the heart relaxes between beats there is less pressure but there is still some pressure. This is the "bottom" number or diasystolic pressure. So in the example blood pressure of 120/80 there is 120 millimeters of pressure during the heartbeat and 80 millimeters of pressure between beats.

Millimeters of mercury (mmHg) is a measure of pressure. 1 mmHg is the amount of pressure it takes to raise a column of mercury 1 mm. So, 120 mmHg is the amount of pressure it takes to raise a column of mercury 120 mm.

How do you calculate suction pressure for air theoretically?

Air has a pressure, but not a suction pressure. Air pressure is measured with a barometer, you do not calculate it. Suction pressure is a concept which applies to a pump. Suction pressure = static pressure + surface pressure - vapour pressure - friction pressure.

What is the relation between pressure in atmosphere and pressure?

Atmospheric pressure is the surrounding pressure around us. We live in the atmosphere and treat the atmospheric pressure as the base pressure. A pressure gauge would read 0 at atmospheric pressure. When we define the pressure in scientific way of absolute pressure, we need to add up an atmospheric pressure to the measured pressure.
