i guess it would depend on where they live. for example, the lion, they have short hair becasue they live in a hot place. Snow leapards have thick fur because they live in cold places.

To keep a kitten warm, put a hot water bottle in a box under a sheet. Refill and warm about every 2 hours or so, as needed. Do not use a heating pads or any electric elements because of the shock which could occur if the kitten starts kneading the pad.
