What kind of ACU army boots are warm waterproof and comfortable for rucking or running?

When they went to the ACU, the tan coloured desert boots became the standard footwear. However, there are military posts where these really cannot be worn year-round (Fort Drum, Fort Richardson, Fort Wainright, probably Fort Lewis, as well). When I was in 10th Mountain, we were issued two pairs of insulated Rocky or Matterhorn boots, and I'd imagine those - or something similar - are still being issued, because you're not going to conduct field exercises at Fort Drum in the middle of Winter wearing just desert boots. Ask the people who work at the Military Clothing and Sales Annex on your post to see the catalog, and the various types of boots one is authorised to wear with the ACU uniform should be in there, and you should be able to order them from there, as well.
