I'm afraid not. A DVD rw is a kind of DVD disc that could only be used to burn DVD on to. If you want to burn a video or movie to DVD, you need a DVD burner program like wondershare to do the job. I have used the DVD burner, and it works well for me. Operations are quite easy.
it depends what kind of DVD ripper you are using. I recommend DVD shrink 2.3 to rip the DVD and VSO DvixtoDVD 0.5.2 to convert it and DvixtoDVD 4 to burn it.

I don't think so. A DVD burner is necessary to burn a DVD. DVD or CD-rw drive could not burn DVD. And if you use a CD burner to burn DVD, when you play it, you will discover that only the audio is available, you can't get the picture. More details in the link.
