Then it gets moved along into the jejunum (I always thought that would make a great doggie name) of the small intestine; more absorption along the way, and finally the to the last part of the small intestine, the ileum. At this point everything will have been digested and most of the nutrients will have been absorbed, and now off to the large intestine for its next journey out into the world...life is good!
