Best Answer

people are anacondas enemies, there are rare occasions of medium sized caimans overpowering anacondas, and large caimans such as 20 foot black caimans and jaguars have a chance of turning the tables

It really depends on their size. If they are small, many things such as turtles and large fish can eat them. When they get larger, then only organisms larger than themselves can eat them. Some examples are other anaconda and alligators.

Due to their sheer size and strength, adult Anaconda's have no natural enemies. No other animal in the rainforests is large enough to kill a full grown Anaconda. A Jaguar or a large Caiman may kill a small or adolescent Anaconda but an adult is ruled out as prey even for these predators. On the other hand, Anaconda's are known to kill even large Caiman's and Jaguars when they feel threatened.

What is the fear of Anacondas called?

There is no phobia that directly lists a fear to a spisific species of animal or cause. There is Ophidiophobia, which is "Fear of snakes", but there is no "fear of anacondas" directly. That would be like if you had a fear of ovens or stoves, when there is no direct fear of ovens or stoves to be listed, even though there is a fear of fire (Pyrophobia), and a fear of being locked in an enclosed place (Cleithrophobia or Cleisiophobia), but there is nothing direct outside of that. Simply to be afraid of one thing makes you nothing less then an individual.

Why are people anacondas enemies?

Since Anacondas are at the top of the food chain in their habitat, the only real threat comes from humans in their efforts to use anacondas skin for profit. This may range from shoes to other man made accessories at the expense of this creature. Anacondas are also hunted and killed because humans fear them.
