if its clear its water and needs to be removed and replaced with Antifreeze. You can get pre-diluted or strait antifreeze which you must dilute yourself 50/50. The kind needed is in your car manual or on the resivoir cap the way those buckets are set up it will look clear sometimes
How do you clear a stack overflow
There is no clear colored antifreeze.
There is no clear colored antifreeze.
OR AX Will clear carry and overflow, leaving AX alone.
you will find two plastic tank under the hood. the smaller one is for windshield wiper fluid. it should be clear marked on the cap with a wiper icon. the bigger one is for the antifreeze, you will see a max and mini line on the side..
Look in the overflow container. Is it clear (water) or has a coolant color (usually green) ? Does it feel like plain water or slightly fluid feel ? If overflow or radiator have orange rust color, recommend clean cooling system & replace with new coolant.
restart your computer, it will clear the overcommitted stack
the easiest is the overflow reservoir, they are clear or white with a fill to this level line.top usually pops off and physically look inside. If it is bone dry wait until engine is cold and remove radiator cap and look in there. if low fill with 50/50 antifreeze solution and reinstall cap before cranking back up.that is basically it.and add 50/50 solution to overflow reservoir to fill to here line.If antifreeze goes down after driving for a day or so look for leak in radiator hoses, heater hoses,etc..
a 50/50 mixture of correct antifreeze and water, or the already premixed antifreeze. Use ONLY coolant that is designed for GM cars. Do NOT use the green colored or tinted antifreeze since this will gunk up your system and cause real problems like overheating or thermostat issues. I think the correct tint of the antifreeze should be orange, pink, or clear.
use a scanner, or unhook battery.
