Well, if you want to you can splurge on a specific bicycle lube like finish line or whatever. Or you can buy a can of regular engine oil at maybe 1/4th of the price. As long as you wipe off any dribbly excess it'll do just fine too. If you tend to pick up a lot of dry dirt you might do marginally better with one of the wax-based "dry" lubes instead. Stay clear of the WD-40, 3-in-one and similar really runny oils, the don't do much good as lubes.
