DOT 3
The brake fluid in a 1992 Ford Escort gets put in the brake fluid reservoir. This is normally located on the master cylinder.
DOT 3 brake fluid
As long as it is DOT3 brake fluid you are fine.
On a 1995 Ford Escort : The brake fluid reservoir is also the clutch fluid reservoir
Brake fluid
On a ( 1996 ) Ford Escort the brake fluid reservoir is also the clutch fluid reservoir
It uses brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir. The clutch fluid (brake fluid) is fed by the brake fluid reservoir. The clutch fluid reservoir is just beneath the brake fluid reservoir. So, add fluid to the brake fluid reservoir to fill the clutch fluid, also.
DOT ( 3 ) brake fluid meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A according to the 1998 Ford Escort Owner Guide
the 97 escort has a hydraulic clutch. it uses brake fluid from the same system as the brakes. i dont think there is any adjustment possible. check your brake fluid level.
If it is like the ( 1996 ) Ford Escort : The BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR is also the CLUTCH FLUID RESERVOIR
Any dot 3, just don't mix synthetic & regular.
Normally DOT3 brake fluid. Check you owner's manual or look on the reservoir cap.
