Please note that Calicos, Tabbies, Torties and Gingers are not cat breeds, they are just coat colours which have no reflection whatsoever on the cat's personality. They could have any personality, just like other mixed-breed cat.
Answer:
It depends on the cats personality, not the breed. I have one cat that is two years old, he is a mix breed. He is really nice but afraid of everything, my other two mix breeds are very hyper, and my tabby cats are pretty hyper also.
However, there are some breeds that are very well known for being incredibly patient and gentle - especially with young children. These breeds include: American Shorthair, Maine Coon, Birman, Burmese, Persian and Ragdoll. However, it is best to look for a cat whose personality will match yours, not what breed it is.
Answer:
There isn't a "magic" breed that makes a great house cat. Your best bet would be to go to a shelter or rescue organization and check out the personality of the cats. Many rescue organizations will foster the cats so you get a real idea of what the cat/kitten's personality is like and whether or not it would suit your life.
Answer:
I think that if you would like a mellow kitty, than get a Maine coon. They have long soft fur coats, but they do shed and like with all long-hair cats, they need regular grooming. Once again they are cute, smart, cuddly, and really easy to train. Look them up on the internet, you could find some info there.
If you are not wanting to spend much on a cat then a Maine coon is probably not your thing. Pick whatever floats your boat.

a kind of cat is a "breed" of cat
well it depends on what kind of cat you have in mind. In my opinion i think you should get a modern house cat. My cat is a medium haired modern house cat and he is very good. If you get a kitten I would recomend getting it declawed because they will claw everything.
You should probably ask your vet for advice on that.
The first kind of cat was a Simese.
About 6 pounds dependeng on how you feed it.
Unless the milk is from its mother, you should not give it any type of milk that we drink. The cat may get a stomach ache.
It all depends on the kind of cat food. it should say on the bag or box what age the cat should be. i feed my cat Techni-cal Precision, Hairball Control and on the bag it says: for cats adult cats ages 1-7. ~Claira-Bella~
The most popular kind of cat in the United States is the Persian
They can. Ham is not a natural part of a cat's diet. It is a different kind of meat, and should be fed very sparingly.
