Sporting dogs are a group of breeds that were originally bred to work closely with a hunter in some form to assist with finding or retrieving game. They include pointers, retrievers, setters, and many kinds of spaniels. They tend to be active and alert dogs who crave companionship with a person. Some of America's most popular dogs, like the Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, and Cocker Spaniel can be found in the sporting group.
Many people consider that collies, Siberian huskies, and herding dogs as sporting dogs
all dogs can borrow but mostly the terrier as in the west highland white terrier hound as in the dachshund toy as in the chihuahua sporting dogs and i bet working dogs too (maybe)
This is a pretty open-ended question because there are hundreds of recognized breeds and thousands that span the world. They can be hounds (sight or scent), working, toy, sporting, non-sporting and many in between.
If you consider chasing and digging up rodents, they could be said to sporting dogs. But many say sporting dogs are those that go along while one hunts to point out game (pointers) or retrieves it (retrievers).
