For any type of medicine go heavy on Math and Science. Chemistry for sure. The best thing for you to do is call the college you want to go to and see what their entry requirements are. Tell them you want to go into psychology and ask for suggestions. They don't care how young you are, they will help. Local community colleges can do the same. This career degree at the master's level will take approximately two to three years to complete post bachelor's degree, provided you take the degree as prescribed by the college or university.

Well you need English and math courses, but some university recommend that you take chemisrty and physics and some with Biology, it all depends on what univeristy you are applying for. So i think you should be able to cope with taking these courses byt i don't think you really need physics. You shold take bio and chem just in case.

You should make sure you are in a college prep program in high school. the areas you need to be especially concerned with developing are:

* Good communication skills (written and oral) * Interpersonal skills * Computer literacy * Math (Statistics if possible) * Laboratory sciences (Human biology) * Critical thinking skills To become a psychologist the minimum educational requirement is a masters degree, with a doctorate preferred if you plan on pursuing a practice, and/or meaningful research. Thus, it will be a somewhat longer process than many other field of study.

Believe it or not, your high school classes do not matter in the way I suspect you may think they do. I suggest you do your best in your courses, and make sure you take the classes necessary to get into college or university. In order to become a psychologist (in most states, at least), you will need to first obtain your bachelor's degree; then go on to graduate school and obtain a minimum number of hours under supervision.

Once you're in college or university, your counselor/advisor will help you determine which classes you should take to satisfy their requirements.

You should be in a college prep program. This will give you the basics for transition into higher education. If the school offers a psychology course it would be good to take. Once you are accepted to a college or university, you can then major in psychology. However, make sure you have a specific career goal in mind. A bachelor's degree in psychology does not make you a psychologist. Thus, plan out your career goals and objective carefully and understand how much education you will need for that specific career goal.

The answers depends on what grade you are in right now. If you are high school or lower, you should follow the college prep curriculum. It will include classes like biology and social studies. If you are an undergraduate at a university, you should major in psychology or sociology. After you have completed your undergraduate degree, you can enroll in a master's program for clinical psychology.
