Well it depends on the fish kind. If you happen to find a fish in the water such as... Pond, lake, river, ocean you may want to keep them in difrent tanks... Because i got one of though and they ate eachother... But otherwise yes you can put them in the same tank
There are hundreds of species of fish available at pet shops. My advice is to check a few out and see what you would like to keep and then see what is needed to keep them healthy.
Bubble eyed gold fish have to stay at one spot in the tank because they feel like they rule the tank kind of thing and they want to watch all the other fish
in their tank
As long as they get the same food and are surounded by the same enviroument they will stay the same. But they may be confused if the tank has things moved around. But they get used to it.
A male guppy can be in the same tank with its own kind and/or with almost all peaceful fish smaller than 5 inchs.

No, male Beta fish should never be put in the same bowl or tank. They are aggressive fighting fish. That's why in the pet store, they are always separated in one bowl. Good Luck!
