nitrogen
It's a 4R70W automatic
of course
They run best on premium but you could get away with regular but the MPG and the performance will suffer.
It is a 4R70W
1993,94,95- used the 5.0 ho motor.95 and on used the 4.6 modular motor. i believe that after 95 the 4.6 cobra motor was used
It does have one. The dipstick is located on the backside of the engine on the passenger side. It can be kind of difficult to find at first unless you have been instructed as to where it is located.
Ford calls for 5w30 oil in the Mark VIII. I have had four of these Mark VIII's, a 1994, a 1996, a 1998 and currently a 1997. I have used 5w 30 in all of them, not synthetic, changed it every 3,000 miles (every month for me) and have never had any kind of oil related problem with any of these cars. The 1996 had almost 400,000 miles on it before it was stolen and demolished!
AWSF-32C is the stock plugs
Premium unleaded is recommended for the Lincoln Mark series. Apparently you can use regular but I've heard/read of reduced performance and mileage. I've always used premium in my 93 Mark VIII and it runs very smoothly. For me, the 20 cents/gallon price difference isn't worth risking extra wear and tear to the engine.
4R70W Automatic transmission. I just changed the tranny in my 93. I used a tranny out of a 94 Crown Vic. Just had to change the shifting mechanizim and the tail shaft housing. Not nearly as hard as it sounds.
It states that 5W30 is used.
