Rainbow and red tail sharks are good for 20 gallons
I have a 55 gallon tank with a large pleco, some mollies, a rainbow shark, a red fin shark, an albino clawed frog, a beta fish, and two dojo loaches. Can I put an eel in there? Like a zig zag?
That depends on what kind of shark it is, but in general nothing less than 180-200 gallons. For some sharks, you need at least 700 gallons!
Yes and no, while all sharks that I know of eat some kind of meat, they don't all eat the kind you'd expect. I have heard of a shark that eats only plankton much like whales. No, the whale shark, the basking shark and the megamouth shark are filter feeders and feed on phytoplankton.
I would like to say The Great White Shark. That is just my opinion.
I have a lot of mollies, three angelfish, one cambodian shark, three bala sharks, one pleco, one clown loach, and a few guppies.
The shark would be a consumer. In fact, it would be considered a tertiary consumer due to being a carnivore that consumes many of the other consumers.
