This question is kind of vague. The only way to answer this is that its an electrical fuel pump, as opposed to mechanical.
The arrow would normally indicate the front.You said arrows... Is there more than one arrow on the piston in question? What kind of piston?Anyway, a stock or stock replacement piston usually has one arrow or a little notch in it and that is to indicate the front.
The tires that came stock on the 1959 Impala were the OEM. On the convertible they were the 235 blue-flame tires. OEM stands for the original equipment manufacturer.
Post a pic. It's likely a 4-barrel, depending on your engine size too.
If it has overdrive it is most likely a 700R4 transmission, if it doesn't,it is most likely a 350 turbo.
