You can just get a standard floor jack, like the $30 Autozone ones.

On most years of the 1500 dodge ram, the jack is placed under the rear axle near the wheel. Make sure to not pinch any wiring or brake lines with the jack.

Underneath the pasenger seat. Unclip the cover, remove cover, and unscrew the wingbolt holding the jack.
Put the van on the lift and drain the transmission fluid, next drop the transmission on a tranny jack and proceed to do a transmission overhaul. Reverse the proceedure to install.
My scissor jack collapsed under the weight and many hydraulic jacks can't get enough height so I place some blocks under the jack before pumping it. My estimate is get a jack that can carry at least 3500 lbs and has a higher range of motion. The scissor jack works the height but need a heavy duty one.

The jack in mine is located by opening the back door and on the right side there is a panel that pulls out. It is held by velcro so give it a tug. If you find a jack in there you will find it near useless as well. But you can probably get one that really works and store it in there for future use.
