NASD Series 7 license is required to trade stock. Some states also require NASD series 63 and 65 to be investment advisors. A college degree in not mandatory but it helps!
I would go see a stock broker, hopefully recommended by a trusted friend.
All you need to become a licensed stock and bond broker is to pass the requisite exams. The first is the Series 7 exam which is the General Securities Representative test. The second is the Series 66 or 63 Uniform Combined State Law Examinations exam. Which series (66 or 63) to take will depend on the state in which you wish to operate in. Passing these 2 exams will net you the certifications required. As for training, you can either learn on your own, or take college finance and economics courses to help prepare you for the exams.
In the US a stock broker is actually a salesperson who works for a company that buys and sells financial securities in stock and bond markets. Other financial instruments can be options or commodity futures. The job of a stock broker in the US is to give advice to clients that wish to participate in the financial markets. The salesperson makes money by earning a fee from his company with each trade his or her client makes. The term "broker" is misleading in that the actual buying and selling of stocks for example, are done by traders on the floors of various stock markets.
Any stock broker can help you with this. You could also use a local bank that has an investment manager. They could help you as well.
You can get a bond thru an insurance broker.
One can become a successful stock trader or broker by completing a college or university program geared to stocks and bond trading with honours and working hard by learning through experience with a successful investment firm.

Brokers are required to post a $10K bond - find out who carries the bond and file a complaint (claim) against the bond.
They take less risk, theoretically, so they have lower expectations.
A stock represents partial ownership in a company. A bond represents a loan to a company.
The easiest and fastest way is to work with an insurance broker like my self.
