There are three macromolecules:
1. fats
2. proteins
3. carbohydrates
Sugar is a carbohydrate.
Carbohydrate
It is a protein.

Lipids.
The macromolecule of sugar is a carbohydrate. This includes simple sugars like glucose and fructose, as well as complex carbohydrates like starch and cellulose. Carbohydrates are important sources of energy for living organisms.
A polymer molecule is a macromolecule.

Proteins
cooking oil is a lipid macromolecule. The other types are carbohydrates, proteins and nucleic acids.
DDepends upon the kind of sugar, if it is a ribose then we can talk about the backbone of RNA, but if the sugar is a deoxyribose, then we have to talk about DNA backbone. In any case these three components are the basis of the nucleic acids.
