5W30 or 10W30 are pretty typical and are what the manufacturer calls for, but if you are experiencing oil burning, 10W40 or even 20W50 may slow the oil burning. Beware 20W50 in cold climates, it will make your vehicle hard to start and has the potential to actually result in faster wear and tear on the engine and starter due to the fact that it is so thick, it will take longer to get to moving parts to lubricate them.
