Customs Officer (RMG/TA 3) Category: General Description: Locations: Kingston, Montego Bay, Port Antonio & St. Annʼs Bay
The incumbent is responsible for Customs control functions inclusive of the landing, inspection and clearance of all cargo and aircraft/vessels, as well as detecting violations of the Customs Act and other Laws and Tax evasion at the Ports of Entry.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration or equivalent qualification
- Three (3) years working experience in a similar capacity
- Excellent investigative and observation skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Integrity and honesty
- Working knowledge of computer systems and relevant application
- Candidates may be required to stand for extended hours, work in varied conditions and function in a stressful environment
