One of the most simple tests for ADD/ADHD is done at a small keyboard in a darkened room...you are asked to strike the spacebar each time you see a certain letter. There will be several "distractions" during your test. This test is simple, but for the ADD/ADHD patient, it is very "telling". There are also day-long assessments that are very involved and very expensive. Should your neurologist decide that is what you need, most insurance companies will cover the cost.
