should be the 700R4
700r4 for sure. but i believe the 96-99 model Chevy pickups have that 4l6oe transmission in it
Dextron ii
It would be the 700R4
That truck came factory with a 700R4 transmission. And that has overdrive in it already.
Yes. There were no major changes between the two. NEW ANSWER: Yes it will fit. But the problem is that the 1990 computer and transmission wiring harness will not operate that 1993 model 4L60E or the 4L80E transmission. Your 1990 model had the 700R4 in it and that is not electronic controlled like the 93 is.
It will have to be of a 88-95 Chevy i believe.
The bed size is 6.5' of a dimension of 78x9x5 would fit a Chevy 1990 pickup.
NO won't work. The wiring harness for the transmission on the 90 model will not hook up to the 97 4L60E transmission. And the ECM / computor on the 90 model will no operate the 97 electronic transmission. You can NOT use anything newer then a 1991
It'll fit, but it probably won't work very well, as a 1996 transmission would be wholly electronic, and the 1990 transmission would not.
will the 5 speed transmition out of a will a 1990 model ford pickup with a 6 cylinder , fit a 1990 modle 302?
If it's an automatic transmission, then it's a THM 700R4/4L60, and it's used in almost every type of RWD vehicle Chevy makes, whether a full size car, a van, a pickup or an SUV. They probably built about 50 million of these transmissions, worldwide.
you'll need to find out what model tranny it is, your auto parts store might know. then you might want to get a Haynes or Chiltons for that transmission from your auto parts store or amazon.com .
