People move around in Egypt through a myriad of transportation mechanisms. Much of Egypt is connected by train and large highways for automotive transport (cars, trucks, buses, and mopeds). There are sparsely populated deserts that are better traveled by camel. There are airports in the major cities to facilitate air travel. Cairo has a subway system. Boats run along the coast, canals, and the Nile River (both motorboats and canoes). And, of course, people walk from "here to there" especially in the older cities.
