There are many types of bikes that are good for beginners. One of the most common triathlon bikes is the Trek Equinox 7. The Cervelo P2K is another good option.
Easy now there is 2 mountain bike trails that are good for beginners in Aspen Colorado. One is to the east called " East Mountain Bike Trails for Beginners in Aspen Colorado". And the 2nd one is to the west called " West Mountain Bike Trails for Beginners in Aspen Colorado".
With only $100, you're not even going to be able to get a good used bike.
Sure, but if it has tri/TT bars you probably will have to pull them off to be allowed into an organized event. Expect to be losing some due to the fairly extreme riding position an all out TT bike will put you in. For ordinary road(group) racing most riders prefers a bike that's a bit more flexible in terms of use.
anyone but if you are a good runner you have an advantage.
Not really. Tri stuff is focused on getting good areodynamics, at the cost of manouverability and vision - not a good deal if you want to do road riding in traffic.
You need basic swim, bike and run equipment to prepare for a triathlon. Especially if you are a beginner and not on a competitive level. You should start with the most basic equipment. For the swim you need a pair of goggles, swim suit, and or wetsuit. You can use any bike, but try using a bike that suits the distance you will be traveling. A good pair of running shoes for the run and comfortable athletic wear.
One could check any sporting goods store near them for triathlon gear. Amazon, ebay or Overstock are good places to check for less expensive triathlon gear.
Depends on what you are looking for in a bike. The Blast is a single cylinder 500cc street bike that is light and nimble and gets good fuel economy. The bike is not powerful and is plain Jane looking, but it would be a good commuter and can keep up with traffic speeds. It would also be a good beginners bike because of it's small size and easy handling.. For more detailed information, please check out the extensive Buell Blast Forum, aka the "Thumper Forum", at www.BadWeatherBikers.com.
230,250,or if you can handle it a 450.It depends on his/her height but I would recommend a CRF150R (that's if he/she is a good rider), CRF150F (Beginners) and a YZ 125 (intermediate).
no not for a first bike
Triathlon wet suits can be purchased at some local sporting good stores. A better place to look for a triathlon wetsuit would be on an online store that specializes in triathlons.
The Olympic triathlon consists of a 1.5 kilometer swim, followed by a 40km bike ride, and then a 10km run. After a mass start, the race remains continuous, with no stops in between the three legs. Therefore, fast transitions between legs are critical to a good race performance.* http://running.about.com/od/olympics/a/whatistriathlon.htm
