Becoming a vampire is actually a delicate process. It takes time and just the right conditions to become a well-formed vampire. As the vast majority of inductees are not carefully fostered they are mal-formed and sensitive to a broad number of conditions. One of the more common sensitivities of the mal-formed is a sensitivity to light: from merely glittering to instant vaporization.
Well, in most of the stories it says they can't, but nobody knows if it is true because there is no true proof. It use to be that vampires were not much affected by sunlight at all. Count Dracula walked around in the sunlight quite freely. It wasn't until the movie Nosferatu came out in 1921 that sunlight became lethal to vampires. Only recently have vampires regain much of their resistance to sunlight.
They look the same that they do anywhere...
When exposed to sunlight, a vampire's skin begins to burn and blister. They experience extreme pain and their flesh can disintegrate or burst into flames. In some vampire lore, sunlight is lethal and can lead to their immediate destruction. Overall, sunlight is a known weakness for vampires.
Because if they are awake or in the sunlight during the day, they will burn to death.
because they are a form of energy which cannot withstand the the uv rays of sun
vampires disintegrate when hit by sunlight
Vampires tend to dislike sunlight because it can weaken and harm them due to a sensitivity to UV rays.
This all depends on what kind of vampires you are talking about. Fictional vampires (Dracula etc) all have different reactions to sunlight. The most known fictional vampires would turn to ashes in sunlight or some similar death of the vampire. If you however mean vampire bats, they can perfectly fly around in broad daylight, however they are nocturnal animals.
