2 hours. If the train is one mile long and going 1 mile per hour through a mile long tunnel, in one hour the train would be completely inside the tunnel, since they are the same length and the train is only going one full tunnel length(mile) per hour. It would then take another whole hour for the end of the train to leave the tunnel, bringing the train completely out of the tunnel.
By plane, by boat (ferry) of by train (via the tunnel). I would add to that that the train through the Channel Tunnel goes from Calais, France; not direct from the Netherlands.
because if you go through a tunnel it would get a little dark
It would take the train 6 mins to get out of the train because it would be 5 tenths of a hour plus another 1 tenth of a hour for the length of the train so it is a total of 6 tenths of a hour and if you don't know what that is 6 tenths is 6 mins
36km/hour = 10m/second Assuming you're calculating the time taken from the moment the front of the train enters the tunnel to the time when the back of the train exits the tunnel, you're looking at a total distance of 180+180+90 = 450m Hence the time taken to pass through the tunnel completely would be 450/10 = 45secs.
The Channel Tunnel is a rail tunnel and trains run between London and Paris or Brussels. There are some other stations that you could join the train at, but if you are a visitor to the UK, you would be best to join the train in London at St Pancras Station.
If you are timing from when the train first enters the tunnel until the last car exits the tunnel, then the train would travel 2 miles during this time.So 2 mi / (15 mi/hr) = (2/15) hr * 60 (min/hr) = 8 minutes
yes ! although England is an Island there is a tunnel between England and France!!.. it would mean driving on the train in Ashford ( kent ) and driving of the train in Calais ( France )
The Eurostar train service runs from St Pancras station in London direct to Paris (and beyond)
The biggest source of danger would be electrocution. His head was in danger as the train raced through the tunnel.
location.
The quickest way to get to France would be by Train via the Chanel Tunnel, or by a fast Ferry that operates between March until October from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. If you live be Dover, the Dover to Calais ferry would be an option too. I have also found a flight listed from Bristol to Dinard Airport. I hope this has helped you.
