In Canada, the land form that lies between the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains is called the Interior Plains. In the US, it is the Central and Great Plains.
An interesting geological fact is that the Rocky Mountains contain rocks and sediments that could only have come from the Appalachian Mountains.

I'm doing an assignment about this and I'm fairly certain it's the Interior Plain(s). But It could be an either way thing possibly.. This has stumped me for the longest.
