Try a Ford Ranger pickup. Any F100 frame will be too wide to fit the tires under the fenders. A common swap is an S10 frame.
First, Ford did not make a roadster in 1940. The closest thing to a roadster would be the convertible, but it was not a roadster. All passenger car frames were the same from 1935 through 1940. Or, if you want to ruin your '40 by using a non-original drivetrain, there are aftermarket frames available set up for late model components.

None, the 1952 mounted on a curved, A shaped frame, all later model trucks use a straight, or X shaped frame. Also the frames on later model trucks are approximately 5 inches wider.
Probably a late 70's RD350.

Nothing without major fabrication.
Model 620A, not C20-A. Late 1930's-1940's. In typical condition, about $150. sales@countygunsmith.net
The gun was made in the late 1940's, sometime shortly after WW2.
Some of the late model trucks do not have a drain. If your truck has one,it will be on the drivers side on the bottom. If you find o hole with no drain, then you dont have one.
A late model is a newer car ( as of late ).
