The Dawes Act only redistributed lands and pushed the Aboriginals further back. There was no negotiation, no respect, and like always. Total Assimilation in mind.


No true law, act, or treaty allowed the Xwun'i'tum to take so much land. Everything was done in the name of "Manifest Destiny". Ultimately they weren't allowed, they just did.
