Assassinating a political leader may be justified in the minds of some people. However, there is no where on earth where killing a national leader is not a crime.
With an understanding that the question means who was blamed for the assassination of President Kennedy, the Warren Commission stated that a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald was to blame. There are so many reasons why JFK's assassination was a major blow to the American people. Mostly it was the fact that this was the youngest persiding president and that he carried with him the hopes of his generation. He was very easy to relate to and his family was as close as Americans ever got to a surrogate royal family; to a lot of people they still are. Suffice to say that the assassination of the leader of any truly free country is an atrocity in the eyes of its people. JFK was not an exception, but rather a fine example of this sentiment.
