What led to john Kennedys death?

John Kennedy made plenty of enemies, as Presidents often do, but the assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist sympathizer who had renounced his citizenship and moved to the USSR (he had later come back, finding the USSR to be "boring"). A lack of security was a problem, as Kennedy was touring the city in an open top car, and had announced the route the motorcade would be taking through the city. Also the fact that there were not many gun restrictions as Oswald had been able to buy weapons by mail order (the Gun Control Act five years later prohibited the sale of firearms to criminals, the mentally ill or anyone who had renounced their citizenship).
