According to a bio about him he got into trouble in school and was sent to a youth detention center where he was also under observation by psychologist. He left school at 16 and joined the Marines. While in the Marines he also had problems and he left them in 1959. He took a trip to Finland soon after and got a 6 day tourist visa to Russia. While there he tried to apply for citizenship. This was rejected and he tried to commit suicide and was in the hospital for a week. After he left the hospital he was allowed to remain in the country. In 1960 he was sent to work in a factory and there he met his wife. In 1962 he applied to take his wife and baby back to the United States.

Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, a nightclub owner with connections to organized crime. The shooting took place in the basement garage of Dallas's city police station, in front of numerous reporters and photographers. Ruby was convicted of murder and died in prison.

While I know that I'm just asking for it from the conspiracy theorists out there, and while I admit that the government GROSSLY mishandled the whole affair and there may very well have been a variety of cover-ups in regards to how the whole thing went down, there is sufficient physical evidence (through modern ballistics both in simulators and real-life duplications sans murder) that we can 100% say that Oswald was the only shooter.
