Between the years 1972 and 1978, when he was arrested, convicted, and later executed, Gacy raped and murdered thirty-three young boys. Although some of his victims' bodies were found in the Des Plaines River, he buried 29 of them in the small crawl space underneath the basement of his home. He became known as "Killer Clown" because of the popular block parties he would throw for his friends and neighbors, entertaining children in a clown suit and makeup under the alias "Pogo the Clown". His looks caught everybody by surprise. He seemed so stupid. Nobody did not think this person was the responsible of the childrens death around them.

Was Lee Harvey Oswald the only gunman to shoot JFK?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

While I know that I'm just asking for it from the conspiracy theorists out there, and while I admit that the government GROSSLY mishandled the whole affair and there may very well have been a variety of cover-ups in regards to how the whole thing went down, there is sufficient physical evidence (through modern ballistics both in simulators and real-life duplications sans murder) that we can 100% say that Oswald was the only shooter. Why he did it and who (if anyone) put him up to it can still be debated. At this time the most likely explanation is that Oswald, who had an obsession about being famous and historical, killed Kennedy just to get noticed. It worked, possibly the first thing he had ever done right.

What was Lee Harvey Oswald charged with after killing John F. Kennedy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No, but he was arraigned for his murder of JFK, and Officer Tippet. After he was already dead, it was learned that he had also tried to shoot a general who lived in Dallas, but missed.

Given the vast amount of evidence, both physical, witnesses, and circumstantial, there is no real doubt of his guilt, especially since there has never been any physical evidence of anyone else being involved... and innocent men don't murder police officers during a getaway.

Where did Lee Harvey Oswald hide?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

When Oswald ran form the Texas School Book depository, he didn't hide. He was stopped on the street. About 45 minutes after the shooting at Dealey Plaza, Oswald was stopped by Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit for questioning. He shot and killed the officer at point blank range. He was seen by witnesses going in to a movie theater, where he was arrested.

He was arrested in possession of a .38 caliber revolver (which ballistics later matched to the bullet that killed Officer Tippit). He was arrested for the murder of Officer Tippit.

It was when he was taken to police headquarters, a group of employees of the Texas School Book Depository were there giving their statements as witnesses to the shooting in Dealey Plaza. They knew Oswald and pointed him out to police. Following up information from these witnesses, Oswald was formally charged with assassinating President Kennedy.

Was Lee Harvey Oswald mentaly ill?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No doctor diagnosed him as such, but his school counselors found him in need of help.

No one who beats his wife is mentally in good shape.

His neurotic need to become historic and famous was not exactly normal, either. Did you know he called his diary "Historic Diary"? After failing to become famous and historic by defecting to Russia... returning... trying to murder General Walker... organize a Fair Play for Cuba chapter that had more than just him in it...defect to Cuba... he finally found a way of getting noticed.

His final act on this Earth was to raise his handcuffed fist up by his head in the well-known Communist "Knuckle/Head" salute. Appropriate enough.

Did Lee Harvey Oswald Kill John F. Kennedy?

His gun, his prints on the gun (lifted while he was still alive), fibers from his shirt and a Russian blanket he owned on the gun, the fact that he was left alone on the floor from which the shots were fired, the fact he completely ignored his duties for the day in favor of making a "sniper's nest" in case other people were on the floor, so they couldn't stop him in time. His prints on the sniper's nest area. The fact that he alone escaped the building. The fact that he changed clothes and got his pistol. The fact that he used it to kill a police officer who stopped to question him (odd thing for an innocent person to do!) and then tried to shoot the arresting officers with it. The fact that he said the wrapped package he brought to work was "curtain rods" (which he didn't need) instead of a weapon. If he wasn't planning to do harm with the Carcano, why lie about what it was?

The fact that he left his wedding ring, and almost every bit of money he had left, with his wife. He knew he wouldn't be coming home. He kept about as much as you would need to take a bus to Mexico, but Dallas heated up too quick for him to make any real escape to Mexico or anywhere else.

Who killed Lee Harvey Oswald?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answer

To this day there is still an argument as to whether he killed Kennedy alone or was with a group. Nobody knows if anybody sent him because two days after his arrest he was shot by Jack Ruby when he was being moved to the County Jail. Fun Fact: Did you know that the gun that killed Kennedy was bought for around 12 dollars.

Answer

Theories that Oswald did not act alone don't really hold up to investigation. Oswald was a man who never fit in; no matter what he tried, he always ended up alienating himself from the "group". The likelihood that he could cooperate or coordinate this activity with another person or persons is very remote. He had the training, the skill, and the means to carry it out all by himself. Most of all, after all of his failures, he had the motivation to make this grand gesture to show the world that he had what it takes.

Lee Harvey Oswald did not kill John F Kennedy (JFK) , but was a patsy.

The Mafia killed JFK because Bobby Kennedy was "turning up the heat" on the Mafia.

Even after all the work the Mafia had done in Chicago to get JFK elected president in 1960.

Mafia hit man James Files has recently admitted to firing the fatal bullet, the blew JFK's brains

out towards the rear, from the infamous grassy knoll in Daily Plaza.

James Files worked together with another Mafia hit man to "take the trash out" as he put it.

Who was responsible for Kennedy's Assassination?

Asked by Wiki User

Mark David Chapman killed John Lennon. Nobody knows why for certain, but several theories suggest that he was a disturbed crazed fan, wanted fifteen minutes of fame, was hired by someone else, etc. Chapman stated in an interview that "[Lennon] walked past [him] and then [he] heard in [his] head, 'Do it, do it, do it,' over and over again, saying 'Do it, do it, do it,' like that." He said that at the time of the shooting, he felt "no emotion, no anger, dead silence in the brain." Some say that he was a crazy fan who belived that Lennon was the reason the band broke up so he shot him.

One widely-accepted theory is that MDC had a mental issue in which he believed that he was the real John Lennon, and John was actually impersonating him. MDC felt that the "fake" John Lennon was taking away from his would-be fame & fortune. Therefore, MDC thought that murdering him would solve this problem.
It was Mark David Chapman who murdered John Lennon (may Chapman burn in Hell forever, thank you!) on December 8, 1980.

Some believe however that the CIA might have had something to do with it as well. I certainly wouldn't put it past them as the American government has always been afraid on John's influence on Americans. The Nixon Administration tried in vain to have John deported but couldn't (ha-ha) and I wouldn't doubt that the Reagan administration felt threatened by him in later years when John resurfaced with Double Fantasy. Many believe that the CIA had programmed Chapman to assassinate John. If you'll google it, you'll find all the FBI correspondence when they wiretapping his phones and keeping John under surveillance. Check it out for yourselves. You'll see.
