If the question is referring to the Holocaust during World War II:
Many Jews across Europe went into hiding to protect themselves. This was either physical hiding in farm houses, neighbors' homes, etc, or they pretended to be Christian or otherwise. Many Jews put their children in Christian orphanages or gave them to Christian families.
In other times throughout history, Jews have done similar things to protect themselves. The Spanish Inquisition was another time when Jews were forced to go into hiding or false conversions to avoid death.

If you want to go out for the night and have nowhere to stay, the best plan is to find somewhere to stay or go to an all night diner and have coffee. You can't just stay on the street. That isn't a good or safe plan.
Hitler said that is was a safe place for the Jews to be and they were better off there and then the people would go and never came out, if people did not want to go in they would force them and and then properly kill them for being a trouble maker.
You can go on holiday to the Caribbean or some were else that is hot. Or, stay home, save your money and be safe.
