well, I'm not a pro in stress relief, but this is my best answer:
1. maybe have a note pad or diary, so when ever you feel stressed write it down,
you might notice something..
2.avoid smoking, over eating, under eating, alcohol, not enough sleep, too much sleep,
you know all of that,
3.if possible, avoid people who stress you out,
4. If the evening news makes you anxious, turn the TV off. If traffic's got you tense, take a longer but less-traveled route. If going to the market is an unpleasant chore, do your grocery shopping online.
5.give your self some relaxing time, me-time, nice- hot- bath- with- candels- time,
just think in general, calm
6. learn to say no, for instance, if you have this bracelet that is really annoying you, but its a lucky charm/ family air loom that you really don't want to take off,
you might think something like that is stupid to be stressed about, but everything thing adds up.
7. exercise more, yea yea same old " just ignore that one", but there's something to do with the hormones make you feel a lot better after exercise,
I'm not scientist, but it works,
8. breathe, take a really deep breath, then when you think your lungs are full,
take a little sniff through your nose to make sure.
hope it helps x Relax whenever you can.Listen to calm music.Read(this one really helps me ;) ).Make sure you get enough sleep.
Being a dentist I am sharing my experience, which may help you.
You put everything you had into dental school, maybe you had some positive experiences as an associate, but now, you hate to say it, but you hate your job? It’s ok. You’re not alone. Dentistry is a high-stress and often thankless profession. Over time this stress builds and can lead to mental and physical health problems, and ultimately burnout. But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can make the necessary changes to feel healthy and love going to work again.
I was also experiencing stress at work, then I bumped into a book which I found on internet. I found it really helpful to manage stress at work specially in dentistry, which I think also help in every profession and daily work life.
