Well my cat had fleas about a two months ago and I was very surprised at the amount of flea and tick killers there where around the place. If you look in pet stores or even a supermarket you should find a range of different sprays and powders to kill them. You will probably need to repeat spraying several times because they will just keep growing and laying eggs.

When I was little my mom always used Ivory bar soap. My sister-in-law swears by dial bar or liquid. I think its the soup changing the density of the water and drowning the fleas.
