The Singaporean people themselves. They have the best education systems in the world, are hard working and dedicated. The island is well located on trade routes and around 1/5th of all containers pass through the worlds busiest port which is located here.

Singapore is rich because they have a highly developed market-based economy READ: NOT AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE COUNTRY, which has historically revolved around extended entrepot trade. The economy depends heavily on exports and refining imported goods, especially in manufacturing which includes significant electronics, petroleum refining, chemicals, mechanical engineering and biomedical sciences sectors. In 2006 Singapore produced about 10% of the world's foundry wafer output. Singapore has one of the busiest port of the world and is the world's fourth largest foreign exchange trading centre after London, New York and Tokyo.

Singapore has also been rated the most business-friendly economy in the world with hundreds of thousands of foreign expatriates working in multi-national corporations. In addition, it also employs hundreds of thousands of foreign manual workers. No, Singapore does not support communism and don't be stupid enough to say that Singapore is part of China (yes, there are people who believes in that). Singapore foundation is build on a parliamentary republic with a Westminster system of unicameral parliamentary government representing different constituencies. The Constitution of Singapore establishes representative democracy as the nation's political system.
