Initially U.S. President supported Pancho Villa in his efforts against Mexican leader Venustiano Carranza. When President Wilson changed and supported Carranza, Pancho Villa was outraged that the U.S. no longer supported him. Such rebel force was known as the Division del Norte(Spanish for Northern Division). It was first organized by Francisco I. Madero during the start of the Mexican Revolution (1910-1921).When Madero was assassinated by Gen. Victoriano Huerta, thus starting the second stage of the revolution (1913), Francisco "Pancho" Villa assumed the leadership of this group, which became a full army - instead of only a division - for the remaining of the conflict.
no he wasnt he did have a criminal record but it was because his sister got raped and he did steal meat from the rich people but he did it because there were poor people so he was basically like Robin Hood except he did join the revolutionary forces and was was married 26 times so he was good and bad but who is to judge if he was or not :) he did lead a raid into New Mexico and many were afraid of him because he was a killer, though he is considered a hero in Mexico because he led the revolution and fought for the poor... so yea he is kinda like a Robin Hood, a violent Robin Hood..hope that helps!
