The bombing of Pearl Harbor was caused by many things, though the most likely reason was because Franklin Roosevelt had ceased all the exports of scrap iron, steel and oils to Japan. This greatly affected Japan because the United States had supplied 90% of their oil. Other causes that led to the bombing included: 1. The belief that Japan was becoming encircled by Western powers. 2. Japan's fear of resources such as oil running low. 3. The Strong determination of advancing in the East Asia. 4. The United States refusal to join in Japanese expansion 5. And also the fact that Japan's demands were not being achieved by diplomacy.
