Make of car? Most car companies have their transmissions out sourced/made from the same companies(ZF, GM, Nissan/Jatco, Aisin, allison) manufacturer most of the automatics in cars/trucks today. Mercedes and Honda mostly make their own and Ford makes most of their truck trans. Manual transmissions are made by (getrag, ZF, tremec, aisin/borg warner). The main differences are in gear ratios and the programming of the shift points/speed which is brand specific.
yes
Clutch pedals are only found in cars with manual transmissions.
No, they do not. Manual transmissions are used in Nascar race cars.

manual transmissions
Pretty much all cars with manual transmissions have a flywheel. Cars with automatic transmissions have a torque converter attached to a flex plate instead.
No, automatic transmissions may shift faster than a manual transmission because it takes a lot of skill to race and change gears using a manual with a clutch, however, the manual transmission allows you to decide exactly when to shift for more speed at the times you need it and for better engine performance when done by a skilled, practiced, professional racer.
a device to analyze digital transmissions? i guess analogue transmissions are old school got rods from the transmissions to the gear shift new cars dont have those anymore
A Volkswagen plant is a factory owned by Volkswagen. Not all of them make cars. They have separate plants for their main subassemblies, like engines and transmissions.

No, there were many automatic transmissions in the 1960's.
Cars that have a transmission that is self lubricating are the best cars for flat towing. Transmissions that do not have this feature can be damaged during flat towing.
