Paris is a city, not a country. It is known for gourmet food, the Louvre Museum (which contains many great works of art), the Eiffel Tower (a pioneering architectural structure), the Arc du Triomphe (dating from the Roman Empire) and a number of lovely cathedrals, bridges, and other cultural artifacts. It is generally considered to be among the great cities of the world. It is not necessarily more interesting than London or New York, but it is interesting.
