gear oil generally. With both wheels off the ground you can turn one wheel and the other will go the opposit direction unless it is a Posi-track/limited slip differencial. In that case the transmission will have to be in netural and both wheels will turn the same direction.
the axle or trans-axle
it works on the way the wheel spins and how the axle makes it where the wheel can spinwhen you turn one part the part turns. :)

Yes, a wheel and axle mechanism is used when turning a tap. The handle of the tap acts as the wheel, while the spindle attached to it functions as the axle. When you turn the handle, it rotates the axle, which in turn opens or closes the valve to control the flow of water. This simple machine makes it easier to operate the tap by providing a mechanical advantage.
an axle
The wheel generally turns the axle.
If it is a whining noise it is the fuel pump.
runs the power steering pump that makes it easy to turn
Yes, in most cars, the back wheels do not turn when making a sharp turn. This is known as a fixed rear axle or solid rear axle design.
A wheel and axle work together to facilitate the movement of objects by reducing friction and increasing efficiency. The wheel rotates on the axle, allowing for smooth and easy transportation of heavy loads or objects. This simple machine is commonly used in vehicles, machinery, and various mechanical systems.
the best thing to do would find a front axle from a late 70's 150 or bronco. You can buy a bolt on kit for this that makes it really easy. or if you got the axle you could fab it to work, and that wouldn't be to hard if you have good welding skills.
