Is freeview rubbish?

No Freeview TV is not rubbish. Freeview TV offers you free TV for ever. Sky and Virgin Media are very expensive so Freeview TV can be very handy. There are a few channels on Freeview TV that makes you need to purchase Top-Up TV but once again if there is a good football game on this is cheap. Top-Up TV channels (Sky Sports, ESPN etc) is not compulsory and you do not need to buy Top-Up TV to view Freeview TV. Most of the channels on Freeview are good and you even get a couple of UKTV channels on their like DAVE, REALLY, PICKTV and more!

What type of software is Google Earth?

The availability of high resolution imagery of the world as well as panoramic Street View imagery makes Google Earth a popular and useful software tool to explore the world.

What is the function of Google earth?

Google Earth can view street view & satellite imagery, oceans, 3D buildings, various locations, and save places as bookmarks/favorites (such as places you've visited or places you wish to visit). Which is the best Google Earth?

Since it is being constantly updated, the latest one would be the "best" for most people. Some people for example don't like the user interfaces changes introduced in GE 6.0 and prefer 5.0. The latest is Gogle Earth v. 6.2.

Can you change Google Earth 6.0 to 4.0?

You can still download older versions of Google Earth namely 6.2 through 5.1 from Google's direct download links. Best to uninstall Google Earth 7.0 (if unable to use that version) then install a clean version of 6.2 or 5.1 downloaded directly from google.com.Note, however, that street view is only supported in GE versions 6 and higher.Since Google has removed such versions of Google Earth then it isn't advisable to use those -- use the versions of that Google makes available. If you really want 4.3 or earlier versions then non-google web sites such as filehippo.com have those versions but you have to download at your own risksince Google doesn't authorize those web sites.See related link below.

When will the next Google Earth be released?

Google updates its Google Earth software several times a year with a major release (3.0 -> 4.0, 4.3 -> 5.0, 5.2 -> 6.0, 6.2 -> 7.0) and or incremental release (5.1 -> 5.2, 6.0 -> 6.1 -> 6.2) at least once a year.Google does not make public announcements in advance when an update will be released but announces when a new release is available. Google Earth as any software product will evolve of time so you can expect future updates when Google makes them available.Google Earth 6.0 beta version was released in November 2010 then four months later in March 2011 v6.0 came out of beta followed by an update in May 2011 and another in October. The Google Earth wikipedia web page keeps track of the current version of Google Earth (currently 7.0.2.8415 as of Dec 2012) as well as the release history timeline.Google Earth (and Google Maps) imagery content is constantly being updated and released usually twice a month but any particular area might not get an update for 1-3 years. The content is stored in Google's databases and served from their public map servers.

Will 'Google Earth 6' Harm your Computer?

Google Earth is a graphics intensive application. If you run Google Earth concurrently with a number of other applications that consume large amounts of memory and/or video driver resources then your computer will run slowly. In some situations running Google Earth in that scenario could lockup/freeze your computer (e.g. Blue-Screen-of-Death) but concurrently running any combination of graphics intensive applications or computer games could in fact crash a computer. Similarly, if you plugin in an air conditioner, power-saw, and HD TV all running on the same outlet in your home then likely you're going to blow a circuit. Same as running applications like Google Earth with other like applications at the same time. If running Google Earth makes things run slowly then you have the option to exit the other applications and run Google Earth alone or install more memory on the computer.

How accurate is Google Earth Live?

Google provides access to large amount of aerial and satellite photography from across the globe through Google Earth and Google Maps. The map imagery is not simulated nor computer generated so the data you see is "real" as-is the traffic and weather layers that Google provides. That does not mean all KML content found on the Internet is "real" or accurate data. The data is as good as the source.
