There is not really a reason that frogs look like frogs. It is just that everything looks like itself (E.G. everything in the world looks like everything in the world to a certain point). It just depends how much thought you want to put into it.
Each frog 'family' has adapted to its environment for survival. Those environments can be quite different from each other, and have different colored soil, plants, and water. Some frongs developed a camouflaged skin color, others evolved a deadly or sickening poison on their skins, and have a vivid bright color as a warning to predators to not forget that they are poisonous.
Frogs and toads are amphibians, which means they live their lives both in water and on land. Typically, frogs breed and spend their juvenile (or "larval") stage in the water, then spend some or virtually all of their adult lives on the land. Frogs and toads are distinguished from salamanders (which are also amphibians) by the fact that adults do not have a tail.
For approximately the same reason that puppies are dogs or kittens are cats.
