What makes a good children's book?

That depends on the child. But in general, Children's Books that have been deemed "good" have some things in common: a fun and original story, well-developed characters that the child can relate to, vivid illustrations (in the case of books for very young children), tons of imagination, and most importantly, a lesson to be learned.
