Lawn mowers require periodic maintenance. Be sure to change oil after the suggesed period has passed. A hesitation could mean an old plug, dirty air filter, old gasoline... If your mower is to be stored for an extended time, I suggest a product called Sta-bil. It isn't expensive, and will keep your gas from turning on you, even over the winter. You may also want to change your gas filter (if it has one) located in line between the gas tank and the carb. Another concern could be bad gas. Evaquate the tank and replace with new gasoline. Be sure to take the old gas to automotive recycling and not just pour it down the drain.
