Fear of rejection. I don't think it's fear of rejection. Implicit in the question is that the man is already involved with the woman. The fear, therefore, is mostly in his revealing his vulnerability. Many men think that admitting to loving a woman or "needing" her is a sign of weakness or emasculation. Further, many men have a hard time communicating and articulating their emotions. Women would do well to understand that and learn to interpret his actions -- even clumsy ones -- as a man's way of "telling" her how he feels about her.

∙ 16y agoWell being a guy myself, we just don't express feelings like girls do. It can be a problem. You should try expressing how you feel first and maybe he'll tell you how he feels. It is a lot better for a relationship or friendship if you both tell each other your feelings.
