- It depends on the individual man as to why he stays after he caught his wife cheating: This could be the first time she cheated and he may have forgiven her (anyone can make one bad mistake); he wants to work at the marriage and try to save it as they both took their vows when they got married (marriage is hard work at not for sissies); he may have cheated himself and doesn't feel he can fault her in her actions and lastly, he loves her a great deal and want to try to make the marriage work.

Let me just say that your problem will never end if he still want to see her. It may be time for you to think about you and what you want in life without him.
