Girls are often more concerned with what their bodies look like and whether or not they are pretty and appealing to guys. Most guys don't worry about weight as long as they are not obese. They focus more on muscle because guys generally don't like to look scrawny, and becoming anorexic would make them look scrawny.
The full name, "Anorexia Nervosa", should be capitalized. The simple and more common usage of "anorexia" does not need to be capitalized.
Most of the time bulimia starts with anorexia, but then maybe they go to somewhere with a lot of food and they lose control and binge. To get rid of the calories they purge an then this becomes an addiction. Bulimia is much more common than anorexia because not all bulimics have anorexia, but most anorexics have bulimic tendencies.
Yes, very much so.
no athletes need food for energy, would be more common in the modeling/beauty industry
they are very common in teenage girls and less common in boys, but boys do have them.there are many types of eating disorders but the most recognisable is anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.but the most common is EDNOS (eating disorders not otherwise specifyed) as reaserch have shown that 80% of people who suffer from eating disorders suffer from EDNOS.and more people die from that more than anorexia because they dont seem to get enough attentionand help as anorexics and bulimics and people dont class them the same as others, but the truth is they are as important and serious as eachother. Hope this helped. X
There is no difference between an anorexic girl and boy. Anorexia is more commonly associated with girls. However, it is increasingly becoming common for boys to suffer it as well.
Yes, for every single male who is anorexic, there are nine females who are anorexic.
Teens, and mostly girls , but more boys are succumbing to this all the time.
Women are more likely and most people from ages 11- 19 are more common to suffer either bulimia and anorexia nervosa, but adults can suffer from these eating disorders too.
It's more common in women than men.
It mostly affects the teens, girls more of boys. Teens are so eager to look skinny which is "pretty" instead of chubby which is "ugly." most teens do it because of depression, low self esteem, and there might even be more reasons but I find these to be more common in most teens.
Bigorexia or reverse anorexia or muscular dysmorphia stems from a seriously distorted body image, just like anorexia. And, just like anorexia, a lot of different things can combine to result in it, such as a feeling of inferiority, insecurity, peer pressure, etc. It is becoming more and more common, and not only among professional bodybuilders.
